Some years ago I found myself chatting to a bloke in a bar about a shared love of music. He turned out be be a local musician/composer.

This being Camden, Β it’s not unusual to find oneself sharing barspace with arty folk, and his name, as it happened, was Kieran Hebden, better known as Four Tet (not to be confused with the Greek jazz quartet, 4Tet, who are a very different kettle of π‘π‘ π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘–).

I was intrigued enough to look his music up when I got home. His most recent release at the time was the album ‘π‘‡β„Žπ‘’π‘Ÿπ‘’ 𝐼𝑠 πΏπ‘œπ‘£π‘’ 𝐼𝑛 π‘Œπ‘œπ‘’’ and it turned out to be strange and beautiful electronica unlike anything I’d heard before.

We never met againF but there’s been lots more Four Tet music since and I’ve recently come back to listening to it pretty often. The latest is ‘𝑁𝑒𝑀 πΈπ‘›π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘”π‘¦’ and, like almost all before it, it’s gorgeous.Β

Give yourself a treat, folks, and if you haven’t already done so, lend him your fluffy little ears. You’ll be very glad you did.
